Motivate Fitness Spring Melt Down Challenge

Here’s how the 6-week competition works:

  • Open to all Motivate Members and our Friends and Family! (See rules at bottom)

Competition time line:

  • Start / Initial Assessment: Week of April 4th-9th

  • End / Final Assessment: May 13th-16th

  • Weekly data collections

  • Data collections can be done discretely before/after sessions, or on an appointment basis (3-5 minute process)

The “Best Improvement” will be determined by compiling data from weight lost, increase in lean mass weight, and a reduction in waist girth

  • All numeric values will represent individual changes relative to the initial analysis

  • Data will not be directly associated with a real name, but rather each participant will be able to choose a mysterious nick-name (clean humor!)

  • The top three participant nick-names will be announced weekly

  • The top two finishers will be awarded a CASH PRIZE for their efforts! (Based on number of entries. All proceeds will be distributed)

  • First Place – $500

  • Second Place – $150

  • The winner will be announced at the Spring Meltdown Finale Party to be held on Friday May 20th where we will celebrate everyone’s success and crown the winner!

  • $25 Entry Fee

We’ll kick off the challenge with a short informational seminar on the most effective weight loss strategies for long term success on Thursday March 31st at 7pm. Here you’ll learn more about workout recommendations and nutritional strategies that will help you get the best results during the competition.

We need at least 20 participants to register by April 4th in order to run this competition. So gather your friends and family members who are ready to start the Spring Meltdown.

Non-Member Contest 6 Week Memberships – 2 Types

1) Unlimited Group Fitness Classes 6 Week Membership

  • $197.00 which includes the entry fee

2) Semi-Private Membership – 6 Semi-Private Training Sessions (1x/week) Plus Unlimited Group Fitness Classes

  • $299 which includes entry fee


  • To participate in the contest and be eligible for the prize/s you must be a current member or register for one of the memberships offered at Motivate Fitness.

  • The beginning weigh-in must be between April 4th – 9th (no weigh-ins after April 9th); and the final weigh-in must be done between May 13th– 16th (no final weigh-ins after May 23rd).

  • All contestants must check-in each visit to Motivate Fitness.

  • All contestants must complete a registration and liability form.

  • Members and non-members are recommended to complete four (4) workouts per week minimally (24 total workouts) during the contest. A combination of strength training, cardiovascular and group fitness classes are recommended to achieve maximum results.

  • Participants must weigh-in without shoes.

  • Participants may weigh-in at any time during Motivate Fitness business hours, but must be checked-in and have their weight recorded by a Motivate Fitness team member.

  • A minimum of 15 participants must compete in order to run the contest. A full refund will be given to each participant if the minimum requirements are not met.

  • No refunds will be issued after registration fee is paid, with the exception of the minimum number of contestant requirements not being met.
